Sasha McDowell is an executive coach, leadership strategist and the founder of Epicycle Group, a leadership development firm that helps senior leaders and teams navigate the complex people dynamics that can prevent good organisations from moving forward.
Through Epicycle Group, Sasha works with clients to strengthen collaboration, make better decisions together and create meaningful progress towards shared goals. The firm’s work spans executive coaching, team coaching and conflict resolution, cohort-based leadership development training, and organisational consulting focused on change and culture.
Sasha brings an unusual combination of management expertise and people-centred practice to her work. She holds a master’s in public administration from Columbia, with a focus on management, alongside a clinical social work degree. That background allows her to approach leadership challenges through both an organisational and human lens—paying attention to strategy, structures and measurable progress without losing sight of the relationships underneath them.
Her path into entrepreneurship began when an employer declined her request for a flexible working arrangement. Sasha left the nonprofit management career she had trained for, started something on the side and expected eventually to return. Instead, that experiment grew into Epicycle Group.
Her approach is grounded in curiosity, honesty and a willingness to learn through experimentation. Rather than pretending there is one correct formula for leadership or business, Sasha helps people engage thoughtfully with complexity, accept what they cannot control and keep moving before every detail feels perfect.
